You make me feel so excited when you talk and teach me things. As a matter of fact I'm going back to my root, I have been lost from what I was always destined to be. I never knew the best way to live was to do it freely with no expectations. Tbh art is like that. We all have it inside of us, we only need to embrace it. And from what you teach, the best way to do it is to let it all go, pour it into the paper, that's when creativity is born.

Hi Denise. I happened upon your channel a couple of days ago and have watched several videos since then. They are all terrific! I’m brand new to art journaling so watching your creativity is inspiring! I actually have that journal book by Dina Wakley so it will be fun to watch as you fill it up… esp the canvas and burlap pages. My question is whether you consider today’s page finished or will you add to it? It is beautiful just as it is but I’m trying to find my style so I tend to ask lots of questions! There are so many great AJ videos and artists with beautiful work but it’s often so different. I am happy to subscribe to your channel so I can learn more from you!

I did think the green pages would look spectacular with the wings😊. I could see it framed as one picture in my house, as that background especially is something that I adore. Chipped up layers of pain on furniture, etc. But of course, everything you do is beautiful Denise & I look forward to seeing every single video you share with us❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

I am obsessed with the table top flat file drawers - where did you find? Another question - how did you transition from a day job to work full time as a creative. Did you struggle as you transitioned and is it completely sustainable now?

Do you always scribble with your black pencil to "loosen" up or have you ever done it with one of your pastel crayons? I can't remember if you have ever done so. 🙂

Love it Denise and I had just got everything out ready to start painting although it was almost 11pm…Peter was working till 2am and I had plenty of time…the phone rang and he was on the way home , had finished early….soooo everything away and tomorrow as soon as he goes to work I will begin….looking forward to seeing what I can do as I watch your video again….❤

Those stencil masks are sooo good… have you ever turned it over when covered with paint and use it like a stamp? To capture the other version of the design.

Love this color palette and the blending you did with the colors!!! And I’m pretty sure we are kindred spirits when it comes to the use of gold!!!😂 Whether I add a touch or cover a whole painting, it always makes everything look better!!!

Denise, I love your art and your enthusiasm. When you stencil and have paint (or whatever) on the top flip it over and press. You get a lovely reverse and it doesn't waste paint. Try it!

Questions and comments for you. 1) I typically comment on Instagram because I watch your videos on my big screen tv. 😅 2) The wing is still available on Stencil Girl. I’ve been looking forward to seeing the video of you doing that wings spread ever since I caught a glimpse of it when you showed us some of the pages. So, once I saw where you got the wings stencil, I went right to the site and bought it. 3) We can use gel medium and rice paper on top of gessoed canvas? I’m going to try something in my Dina Wakely journal today and just want to check. 4) I saw that Dina Wakely once had a Blue Multimedia Journal available which included denim pages. What a fun day! That is indeed, one of Elizabeth’s Klimt stencils. I agree with your choice to hold off on the wings. I think the other page is perfectly suited to them. You might like to know that Dina is having a limited run of the black journal coming out in July/August, although I am not positive which size it will be. They are doing this to precede her next two journals which will be coming out. One will be a watercolor journal, and the other will be a ledger journal.

Those colors are so yummi together! Actually I think went to much gold, Maybe that it's just me? Isaw a flower on the left side with som yellow in the middle, I think You've saw it if You took a step back...But You're inspiring!
